Michael Roakes

Michael Roakes has over 20 years of experience in the tax industry. In 2022, they began working as the Vice President of Tax for Enstructure LLC. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Tax at The J.G. Wentworth Company from 2013 to 2022, where they provided executive committee members with direct tax research and support for mergers and acquisitions, complex tax transactions, and intercompany accounting. Michael also created and implemented SOX controls for the multiple entities surrounding the complex tax procedures and processes. From 2009 to 2013, they were the Senior Tax Manager at Independence Capital Partners, where they were responsible for implementing and managing a newly formed tax department for various partnerships and corporations. From 2002 to 2009, they were the Tax Manager at KPMG, where they managed over 25 clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, manufacturing, transportation, energy distribution, financial services, and technology focused companies.

Michael Roakes earned their Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Widener University from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they attended Roman Catholic High School from 1994 to 1998.
