Sonya Bolton

Sonya Bolton has over 20 years of professional work experience. In 2019, they began their current role as a Software Developer II at Enstructure LLC, developing SSRS reports using MS Visual Studio for Financial Reporting and Budget Forecasting and creating and maintaining WPF Applications using C# and Xaml Frameworks. Sonya also has experience in SQL Server Database management and reporting functions for Microsoft Dynamics SL. From 2015-2019, Bolton was an IT Database Advisor (Application Development) at Shelby County Schools, providing leadership and a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness, identifying problematic areas and conducting research to determine the best course of action to correct PowerSchool data issues, and implementing operational automation using scripts. Sonya also held the role of IT Report Analyst (Application Development) at Shelby County Schools, designing, testing, building, and implementing customized reports using Oracle Sql Developer, MS Visual Studio, and Oracle Application Express (APEX) and customizing SQL queries in order to tailor reports from PowerSchool data to meet business needs for internal and external PowerSchool users. Bolton also served as an IT System Administrator, providing Tier III software and server support, performing regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions, and distributing software to district devices using SCCM. From 2011-2015, they were a Help Desk Coach/Customer Support Analyst II at Baptist Memorial Health Care. From 2008-2011, they were a Customer Support Specialist II at International Paper, providing application support for internal and external IP employees (Mill and Corporate) and vendors, remotely (PC Anywhere) and via telephone for Xpedx users, CounterPoint Point Of Sale System, Papers and Packaging, Edge, and Corporate entities. Lastly, from 1999-2008, Bolton was a Sr. Computer Operator at Hilton Hotels Corporation, providing Computer Operations support for Hilton Hotels Corporation Memphis Data Center hardware and software, and maintaining Windows and Unix (Sun and Solaris) system performance, operational readiness, and facility integrity.

Sonya Bolton attended The University of Memphis from 2019 to 2020, where they earned a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Business Information Assurance. Sonya also attended The University of Memphis from 2016 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.P.S.) in Organizational Leadership. Prior to that, they attended Christian Brothers University from 2003 to 2006, studying Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Sonya began their educational journey at Remington College-Memphis Campus from 1998 to 2000, where they earned an Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems.
