Asad Akbar

Asad Akbar has over 18 years of work experience, starting in 2003.

Asad'smost recent role is as the SVP - Business Development at ensuredit since August 2021. Prior to that, from January to December 2021, they worked as an Independent Consultant at a Business Process Consultancy, specializing in product management and digital marketing for web and mobile-based products.

From 2019 to 2020, Asad served as the Head of Products, Marketing & Affinity at Coretree Wealth Services. Before that, they held the position of Zonal Head - Insurance & Wealth Products at Essel Finance from 2018 to 2019.

Asad has also worked as a Product Manager - Digital Business at Bimadirect from 2012 to 2018, and as a Business Development Manager - IT & ITeS at Coretree Solutions from 2010 to 2012.

Asad'searlier experiences include working as a Senior Merchandiser at Orient Craft Limited from 2006 to 2008, and as a Category Development representative at J&J Buying Services from 2003 to 2006.

Asad Akbar completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Textile Sciences and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Jalandhar, from 1997 to 2001. Asad then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with a specialization in General Management, focusing on Marketing & Strategy, at the Indus World School of Business from 2008 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Asad Akbar also obtained a certification in Insurance Brokers training and certification from the National Insurance Academy in May 2014.
