Jian An

Jian An has extensive work experience in the field of biological sciences. Their most recent role is as a Principal Scientist at Entact Bio, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Pfizer, where they held various positions including Principal Scientist in Rare Disease from 2018 to 2023, and Senior Scientist from 2018 to 2019.

Before joining Pfizer, Jian An worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School from 2016 to 2018. They conducted research on protein degrader and mRNA stability using biochemical and structural biology tools.

Jian An's earlier work experience includes being a Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic from 2012 to 2015, under the supervision of Dr. Haojie Huang and Dr. Donald J.

In their roles, Jian An has shown expertise in cancer biology, rare diseases, neurodegeneration diseases, repeat expansion diseases, assay development, target identification and validation, and screen and triage strategy. They have also demonstrated skills in project management, leadership, mentoring junior scientists, and coordinating with partner lines for project organization.

Jian An completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Sichuan University between 2002 and 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Genetics from Fudan University from 2006 to 2012.
