Phil Smith

Phil Smith is an experienced retail professional with a robust background in operational and financial management, currently serving as Area Manager at Entain since September 2015, overseeing 20 stores in the London region. Previously, Phil held the position of Area Business Manager at Poundland, managing 15 stores and focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement. As Managing Director of a sign franchise from January 2003 to May 2009, Phil was responsible for all business aspects including customer service and sales performance. Earlier roles include Area Manager at One Stop Stores Ltd, where full P&L responsibility was managed for 15 stores, and extensive experience at Sainsbury's, initially as Store Manager before transitioning to a secondment as Area Manager. Phil's career began after completing education at Queens School from 1977 to 1981.
