Akira Sooful

Akira Sooful's work experience begins in 2015 at Telkom as a Software Developer ISP, where they developed web application tools. In 2016, they worked as an Analyst at Deloitte. In 2017, they joined Entelect as a Data Scientist, using the Hadoop stack to build intelligent solutions for businesses. They then progressed to Intermediate Data Scientist, Senior Data Scientist, and Senior Data Scientist - Project Lead at Entelect, taking on additional responsibilities such as mentoring peers and managing teams. Currently, they hold the position of Data Solutions Team Lead at Entelect, where they oversee the delivery management of data solutions and the growth of individuals on their teams.

Akira Sooful has a diverse education history. In 2012 to 2014, they attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Pure Mathematics, and Applied Mathematics. During the same period, they also pursued a BSc in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal Westville.

In 2022, Akira attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, focusing on Business Psychology and Human Behaviour in the field of Economic and Management Sciences.

In terms of certifications, Akira has obtained several, including Data Science Foundations - Level 1 from IBM in 2019, Python for Data Science from IBM in 2018, and various Apache Kafka and Big Data certifications from Udemy and IBM in 2017. They have also completed several Salesforce Trailhead badges and a course on JSON from Udemy. In 2023, Akira obtained the ElevateHER certification from Duke Corporate Education.
