Peter Backlund

Peter Backlund is the Associate Director at the School of Global Environmental Sustainability at Colorado State University, where they have worked since 2014. With over 25 years of experience, they previously held key positions at NASA Headquarters, including Chief of Staff for the Office of Mission To Planet Earth and Senior Policy Analyst. Peter has also served as Director of the Integrated Science Program at NCAR and contributed to interdisciplinary science projects, workshops, and stakeholder communication. They hold a Bachelor's Degree from The University of New Mexico and a Master's Degree from The George Washington University.
