Arjun Malhotra

Arjun Malhotra, a member on the Lumis Board, counsels the Lumis Partners team vis-à-vis Governance, Sector Strategies, Go-To Market, and Portfolio Reviews. Co-founder of the HCL Group, one of India’s largest technology companies, Arjun is a proven business leader and lifelong entrepreneur. He was most recently chairman and CEO of Headstrong, leading a turnaround that culminated in the company’s sale to Genpact.

Arjun is on the Board of Governors for prestigious institutions including: the Indian Institute of Technology Foundation (Kharagpur); Indian School of Business, Hyderabad; Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong; IIM, Udaipur; and The Doon School, Dehradun. In addition, he founded the Prof. G.S. Sanyal School of Telecommunications at IIT, Kharagpur. Arjun holds a Bachelor of Technology with honors in electronics and electrical communication engineering from IIT, Kharagpur and earned the Dr. B.C. Roy Gold Medal. He was honored with a Doctor’s of Science degree (honoris causa) and named Life Fellow of IIT, Kharagpur. Malhotra also attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
