Alan Gutierrez

Alan Gutierrez serves as the Assistant General Tax Counsel at Entergy, a position held since August 2011, where responsibilities include leading a team focused on federal tax planning, advising on commodity business functions, and providing counsel on state income and indirect tax matters. Prior experience as a Sr. Tax Advisor at Shell Oil Company from June 2005 to August 2011 involved federal corporate and international tax planning, managing state and local tax audits, and overseeing a diverse caseload of tax controversies across multiple jurisdictions. Alan Gutierrez holds a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, and a B.B.A. with honors in Accounting from Texas McCombs School of Business.
