Joanna B. is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at Entergy since July 2022, Joanna leads legal aspects of energy transactions to support the company's net-zero emissions commitment by 2050. Prior to this role, Joanna held the position of Lead M&A Legal Counsel at EDP Renewables, where responsibilities included managing complex international and domestic M&A transactions and supporting project development agreements. Joanna also worked as Legal & Regulatory Counsel at CROB Consulting, facilitating corporate restructuring efforts, and served as Partner & Head of Strategic Planning at Queiroz Varizo Advogados, overseeing M&A and Tax Departments. Earlier career achievements include implementing legal departments for Allegiant Systems and Agrícola Pedra Branca, Ltda, both contributing to significant business growth. Joanna earned an LL.M in International Law from the University of Houston Law Center, a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, and an MBA in International Relations from Universidade Candido Mendes.
