Richard Larson

Dr. Richard S. Larson, MD, PhD, is a versatile leader in biotechnology and healthcare with over 35 years of experience. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer for Metabolics Pharma, Inc., they have an extensive background in academia and industry, including significant roles at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Larson's scientific contributions include over 120 peer-reviewed publications and more than 40 patents, which have fueled the creation of multiple startups. Their leadership also extends to philanthropic efforts, co-founding Cancer Services of New Mexico, which aids thousands of cancer patients annually. Dr. Larson earned both an MD and PhD from Harvard University, alongside completing residencies and fellowships at prestigious institutions.
