Alessio Viola

Alessio Viola is a Senior Software Engineer at EDB since April 2023, focusing on the development of cloud-native Postgres observability for the EDB Postgres AI platform. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer role at Ericsson from September 2019 to March 2023, contributing to the CCDM, a 5G Core Telco-grade database utilizing microservices and cloud-native technologies. Alessio also worked as a Software Engineer at Nokia from August 2018 to July 2019 on the Virtual Networks Orchestration solution related to Software-Defined Networking and Network Functions Virtualization. Earlier roles include a Graduate Research Fellow at Politecnico di Torino, collaborating with Magneti Marelli on a C/C++ framework for V2X technology, and a Software Engineering Intern at Siemens. Alessio holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Computer Networks from Politecnico di Torino and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Università di Catania, along with a High School Diploma in Scientific Studies.
