Ed Bangma

Ed Bangma is a seasoned database professional with extensive experience in various roles spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Senior Database Consultant and Sales Engineer at EDB since December 2021, Ed previously held the position of Technology Sales Consultant at Oracle Nederland from July 1997 to December 2021, where responsibilities included supporting sales teams and demonstrating the value of Oracle database products. Early career experience includes roles as Principal Support Engineer and DBA at Oracle and Zwolsche Algemeene, respectively, where Ed managed complex technical issues and was responsible for database management in high-stakes environments. Ed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technische Computerkunde from Avans University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Hogeschool Brabant - Breda, alongside foundational education in MTS Vlissingen and Scheldemond Vlissingen.
