Johan Pienaar

Johan Pienaar has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the technology and financial industries. Johan currently serves as the Senior Global Director of Delivery at EDB, where they oversee the delivery of projects and services on a global scale. Prior to this, Johan held positions such as Senior Director of Professional Services, EMEA, and Director of Professional Services, EMEA at EDB.

Before joining EDB, Johan worked at Iress, where they held the roles of Client Delivery Manager and Executive General Manager of Operations. As the Client Delivery Manager, they were responsible for delivering financial software projects at a large UK asset management firm. In their role as the Executive General Manager of Operations, Johan led transformational change and integration projects following an acquisition in the UK, overseeing mission critical services across various departments.

Prior to Iress, Johan worked at Peresys as the Head of Technical Delivery, where they led software engineering teams responsible for financial markets software. Johan successfully executed a transition from Waterfall to Agile methodology, resulting in improved software quality and release cadence. Additionally, Johan held positions as the Head of Integrations and System Integration Consultant at Peresys, where they led major software integration projects and provided technical design and support.

Throughout their career, Johan has demonstrated expertise in project delivery, strategic collaboration, integration, and transformational change.

Johan Pienaar attended the University of the Free State from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
