Koichi Suzuki

Koichi Suzuki has extensive work experience in the field of database architecture and development. Koichi has worked as a Senior Principal Support Engineer at EDB since November 2021. Prior to that, they were a Database Architect at EDB UK LTD. from January 2021 to April 2021. Suzuki also has experience as a Database Architect at 2ndQuadrant, an EDB company, from February 2019 to October 2020, and again from October 2020 to December 2020. Koichi has contributed to the PostgreSQL Global Development Group since April 2014 and has played a leadership role in the Postgres-XC Development Group since the same year. Suzuki worked as a Fellow at NTT DATA Intellilink Corporation from April 2004 to February 2019, where they were involved in consultation and infrastructure development for big data analytics. Koichi also held several roles at NTT DATA Corporation, including Senior Researcher, Senior Engineer, and Senior Manager, involved in the development of various database systems. Additionally, Suzuki served as a Visiting Professor at Tokyo City University and as a Visiting Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Koichi holds the highest level of certification as a Principal, Technology Professional at NTT DATA Group.

Koichi Suzuki completed their education at Tohoku University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from 1971 to 1975, followed by a Master's degree in Applied Physics from 1975 to 1977. Prior to that, they attended Sendai First Highschool from 1968 to 1971.
