Leonardo Cecchi is an experienced software engineer and open source contributor with a strong focus on PostgreSQL and Kubernetes technologies. Currently serving as a Kubernetes CSI Member since May 2024, Leonardo contributes to the external-snapshotter controller and the csi-driver-hostpath CSI driver. As a Maintainer of CloudNativePG since April 2022, Leonardo oversees the open source Kubernetes operator for Postgres workloads. In the role of Principal Engineer at EDB since October 2021, Leonardo supports the Cloud Native PostgreSQL development team. Previous experience includes positions as a PostgreSQL Consultant at 2ndQuadrant, where Leonardo designed efficient database solutions and implemented a multi-master architecture operator, and as a Developer and Team Leader at Millennium S.r.l., leading the MilleLight project for electronic medical records. Leonardo's diverse background also encompasses roles in product management and software development, with a strong educational foundation in computer science from Università degli Studi di Firenze.
