Mark Hamersma

Mark Hamersma is an experienced engineering manager and site reliability engineer with a strong background in cloud environments and automation. Currently serving as Engineering Manager for Site Reliability Engineering at EDB since November 2021, Mark manages a team across the APJ region while also engaging in technical SRE responsibilities. Previous experience includes roles as Senior DevOps/Server Engineer at Macquarie Group, where Mark focused on Windows Server fleet support and automation, and DevOps Engineer at Cisco, specializing in cloud automation. Mark's foundational work at Harvey Norman and IBM involved server management, compliance, and monitoring across multiple platforms. Mark holds a Bachelor of Business in Management from Western Sydney University.
