Matt Yonkovit

Matt Yonkovit has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Matt is currently the VP of Product Management - Database Servers at EDB. Prior to this, in 2022, they worked as a HOSS Advisor, where they helped open source companies develop their strategies and build a strong community. Matt also worked as the Head of Open Source Strategy and Growth at Scarf, preaching the benefits of open source. In 2022, they were the Director of Community at StreamNative, and from 2019 to 2022, they served as the Head of Open Source Strategy (HOSS) and Chief Experience Officer at Percona. Before that, they were the Head of Customer Success at Mattermost in 2018 and held various roles at Percona from 2009 to 2019, including Chief Customer Officer and Vice President of Global Services. Matt also worked at Sun Microsystems and MySQL as a Solutions Architect and Senior Consultant, respectively. In 2006, they were a DBA at Jackson National Life, where they led a global data center consolidation project and built a cross-data center SQL Server 2005 cluster.
