Nick Stott

Sr Principal Architect at EDB

Nick Stott has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Beginning in 2002, they worked as a Programmer and Sysadmin at Electric Pickle Design Collective until 2005. From 2005 to 2011, they held the position of CTO and Software Engineer at Netmedia Services, where they managed over 500 e-commerce subscription websites and handled large amounts of streaming video. From 2011 to 2013, Nick served as the CTO at PunchCast. In 2013, they joined MongoHQ as a Software Engineer, and then transitioned to Compose.io in 2014, where they continued in the same role until 2018. Nick began their tenure at IBM in 2015 as an Architect, responsible for designing and building a distributed system for managing database nodes. Nick worked at Second Measure as a Technical Lead from 2018 to 2019, and then joined Loom as a Senior Software Engineer until 2020. Currently, Nick is employed as a Senior Principal Architect at EDB, beginning in November 2020.

Nick Stott obtained a BSC in Math / Physics from Queen's University between 1990 and 1993. Later, from 1996 to 1998, they pursued Early Childhood Education at St. Lawrence College.
