Pavan Deolasee

Pavan Deolasee is a seasoned software professional with extensive experience in database development and consulting, currently serving as a Senior Principal at EDB since September 2020. With a long-standing involvement in the PostgreSQL community, Pavan has contributed significantly to its development, particularly with the innovative HOT (Heap Only Tuples) feature that enhances OLTP database performance. Prior roles include PostgreSQL Consultant at 2ndQuadrant and Core Contributor to Postgres-XC, where Pavan was integral to the design of global transaction management and recovery systems. Pavan's technical expertise is complemented by a solid educational background, holding an MTech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a BE in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
