James (Jamie) Auffenberg, Jr. is an expert in the automobile industry with over 33 years of experience in the field. At the start of his career, Mr. Auffenberg began working with his father at Auffenberg Ford and is still active in the dealership today. He is currently on the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Board of Directors and serves on many NADA committees.
He is a past director and founder of the political action committee, Americans for Free International Trade. He is also a member of the Dealer Election Action Committee President’s Club, and is a past chairman of American International Automobile Dealer Association and St. Louis Ford Dealers Advertising Fund. He is also the former national vice-chairman of the Hyundai National Dealer Council, as well as the past president of the St. Louis Zone Chrysler/Jeep Dealers Advertising Association.
Mr. Auffenberg is a founding member of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the board of the Leadership Council of Southwestern Illinois. He also serves on the board of McKendree College and United Way of Greater St. Louis. He was formerly on the boards of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southern Illinois, Belleville Economic Progress, Proud Partners of St. Clair County and the St. Louis Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.
He received a B.S. from the University of Santa Clara and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
