Matthew Simmonds has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. In 2010, they were a Summer Intern Design Engineer at McLaren Group Ltd., where they redesigned the pit-crew's wheel guns. In 2012, they were a Cohort Member at Entrepreneur First and a Co-Founder of Cook with Basil, a company that teaches people to cook exotic food from the comfort of their own home. In 2013, they were a Co-Founder of SpeakSet, the world's simplest remote care service. In 2016, they were a Writer for The Meaning of Work. Since 2017, they have been the CTO and Head of Product at Entocycle, a company that turns food waste into protein using insects.
