Mike O'Connor

Mike O'Connor is a seasoned software engineer with a solid background in machine learning and high-performance computing. Currently employed at Entos, Inc. since February 2021, Mike focuses on software engineering. Prior roles include a machine learning engineer at Smartia, where Mike developed and deployed machine learning models for industrial applications, and a research associate at the University of Bristol, specializing in high-performance modeling and simulation software utilizing virtual reality. Mike's academic achievements include a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bristol, where research encompassed algorithms for accelerated molecular dynamics simulations. Additional experience includes software development for Interactive Scientific, creating molecular dynamics algorithms and interactive visualizations, as well as contributions as a research assistant on GPU-accelerated algorithms at the University of Bristol.
