At Entrepreneurial Capital, we believe great businesses are built by great people.

We back passionate, self-funded searchers who dream of owning and running a profitable, “boring” business — providing them the capital, encouragement, and hands-on support they need to succeed. As a nimble, hands-on investment firm, we specialize in partnering with self-funded searchers in the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) community, helping them navigate the complexities of buying and operating a single business.

Founded by Grant Hensel — an experienced operator, investor, and former searcher himself — Entrepreneurial Capital understands the unique challenges and rewards of acquiring and scaling a small business. Grant’s firsthand experience allows us to serve as true partners, helping searchers navigate every stage of the journey.

We don’t just write checks — we become true partners, helping shape the post-acquisition journey and supporting searchers as they step into the CEO seat.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding our network of searchers, investors, and partners, all united by a shared mission: to help talented entrepreneurs buy, build, and grow enduring small businesses.

Let’s build something great, together.
