Jed Bassein

Validation Scientist II at EntroGen

Jed Bassein is a Validation Scientist at EntroGen, Inc., a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Recent Graduate in 2020. From 2015-2020, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis, where they used a non-human primate model of early-life wildfire smoke exposure to understand the long-term effects of air pollution, focusing on fine particulate matter (PM2. 5). From 2012-2015, they were a Laboratory Technician at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology, where they identified novel microRNA (miR) that regulate effector cytotoxic T cell (CTL) differentiation. From 2009-2012, they were a Laboratory Assistant at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where they managed student jobs, trained new employees and student interns, and assisted post-doctorates and research technicians with experiments.

Jed Bassein completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from UC San Diego between 2007 and 2012. Jed then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Immunology from the University of California, Davis between 2015 and 2020.
