Richard Wheeler

Richard Wheeler possesses extensive experience in product ownership and systems engineering, currently serving as Product Owner & Senior Systems Engineer at nCipher Security since June 2019. Previously, Richard held various roles at Thales e-Security, including Team Leader/Work Package Manager, where leadership was demonstrated over a multi-discipline team of 12 engineers focused on delivering a high-security communications platform. Richard also acted as System Design Authority for critical phases of the DC3T program, providing oversight for high-grade network encryption systems for the FALCON program, a significant £350 million defense project. Richard’s background includes a role as Software Team Leader for the development of embedded software and positions at Applied Materials and Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology as a Software Engineer and Project Engineer, respectively. Educational credentials include a BSc Hons in Physical Sciences with Computing from London South Bank University.
