Frode Gaare

Frode Gaare has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Frode'smost recent role was as a Platform Engineer at Entur AS, starting in October 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a System Manager at NSB Persontog IKT from March 2016 to October 2016.

From 2013 to 2016, Frode served as a Senior Advisor at NSB Fellestjenester IT. In this role, they were responsible for general application and OS maintenance, including upgrades, installations, and integration. Frode also had OS operational responsibilities for Solaris, Linux, and HP-UX, as well as management of database platforms such as Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, and Sybase.

In the earlier years of their career, Frode held the title of Advisor and later Senior Consultant at Arrive AS from 2001 to 2012. Here, they were involved in application and OS maintenance, 3rd line support, monitoring of operational environment, and technical resource in procurement and migration projects.

From 1996 to 2001, Frode worked as an IT Manager at Plus Bilforsikring. Frode'sresponsibilities included daily operation and support of the company's IT systems, as well as a significant migration project to incorporate the systems into the parent company's infrastructure.

Frode also worked as an IT Consultant at Datavikar AS from 1994 to 1996, where they undertook various short-term operational tasks for companies like Digital (DEC) and ABB.

Frode'searly career was at Siemens AS, where they held multiple positions from 1984 to 1994. Starting as a System Consultant, they later transitioned to a system programmer and sysadmin role, before ultimately becoming a Development Engineer. During their time at Siemens, they were part of a major development project that created a monitoring and management system for Siemens' transmission equipment.

Frode Gaare has an extensive education history. Frode started their education journey in 1980 at Wang Handelsskole og Gymnas, where they pursued a degree in Reallinjen. After completing this degree in 1981, they went on to attend Trondheim Ingeniørhøgskole from 1981 to 1983, where they obtained an Ingeniør degree in the field of EDB.

In 1983, Frode Gaare enrolled in Trondheim Økonomiske Høgskole, where they pursued a DH-kandidat degree in økonomi og administrasjon, which they completed in 1984.

Fast forward to 1994, Frode Gaare attended Universitet i Oslo, where they pursued a degree in Cand. Philol. in the field of Hovedfag idéhistorie. Frode completed this degree in 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Frode Gaare has also obtained several certifications. In 2008, they obtained the ITIL Foundations 3.0 certification from Ciber. In 2016, they obtained the TOGAF 9 Foundation certification from The Open Group. More recently, in 2018, Frode Gaare obtained three certifications from Coursera: Getting Started with Google Kubernetes Engine, Developing APIs with Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform Specialization, and Architecting with Google Cloud Platform Specialization.
