Casey Schmit

Casey Schmit has extensive experience in the field of software development and engineering.

Starting in 2002, they worked as a Software Engineer at Motive Communications.

In 2003, they moved on to Winternals Software, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer and were the main developer for the Recovery Manager project.

In 2007, Casey co-founded Backspace Software, LLC and served as the Chief Technology Officer, where they designed and implemented a password reset utility.

During the same time, they also worked as a Consultant and were responsible for managing onsite operations at the Austin Artistic Reconstruction festival.

In 2008, they joined SolarWinds as the Senior Director of Product Development, where they managed multiple development teams and coordinated recruiting efforts.

They then worked as a Contract Developer at Double Line Partners and Everfest, where they developed backend infrastructure and REST APIs.

In 2015, Casey joined uStudio as the Director of Development, managing a team of developers and implementing information security policies.

In 2016, they took on the role of Director of Development at Vyopta Incorporated, where they managed a team of 25 developers and QA professionals, deployed app monitoring and alerting systems, and developed plans for continuous deployment.

Currently, Casey holds the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Enverus, a role they have held since April 2017.

Casey Schmit obtained a BS degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. In 2012, they also received a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
