Michael Maler

Chief Geoscientist at Enverus

Michael Maler has extensive work experience in the field of geoscience. Michael held the position of Chief Geoscientist at Enverus since November 2016. Prior to that, they worked at ConocoPhillips from 2002 to 2015, where they served as Global Chief Geoscientist for Exploration and Exploration Manager for Global New Ventures. Michael also held various managerial roles within ConocoPhillips, including Manager of Basin & Sedimentary Systems and Local Chief Geologist for New Ventures Exploration. Before joining ConocoPhillips, Michael worked at Phillips Petroleum Co as a Geological Specialist for Worldwide Deepwater Exploration. Michael began their career at Shell Oil Company, where they held positions as a Research Geologist and an Exploration Geologist. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in various areas of geoscience, including stress and pore pressure prediction, basin modeling, structural architecture, and deepwater exploration.

Michael Maler obtained their BSc in Geology and Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin in 1986. Michael then pursued an MA in Geology from the same institution, completing it in 1989.
