Sam Dawson

Sam Dawson is currently the Lead Data Scientist at Enverus, where they have contributed to numerous projects involving algorithm design and software enhancements since 2023. Previously, Sam served as a Senior Data Scientist, where they wrote production-ready code and mentored colleagues on efficient software design. They also held roles as a Geological Data Analyst and Associate Data Scientist at Enverus, utilizing advanced data science techniques to analyze hydrocarbon data and develop predictive models. Sam earned a Master's degree in Geology from Oklahoma State University, where they published a thesis focusing on structural geology, and also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Their early experience includes an internship at Concho and a position as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
