Edward Balatan

Edward Balatan, CPA, CGA, CITP has extensive work experience in the finance and accounting field. Edward started their career at Interwork Technologies Inc. in 2011, where they worked as an Operations Accounting Clerk, Senior Operations Accountant, and eventually became the Manager of Finance & Business Operations. In 2017, they joined Environics Analytics as the Financial Controller, responsible for overseeing financial operations. Edward was later promoted to the Director of Finance and currently holds the position of Vice President of Finance.

Edward Balatan, CPA, CGA, CITP pursued their education at various institutions. Edward first attended Seneca Polytechnic from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance. Subsequently, in 2010, they enrolled in Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne and completed an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Business/Commerce, General. During the same year, they also pursued a Strategic Management - Post Graduate Certificate in Accounting at Centennial College. Moreover, Edward has obtained several certifications, including the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP®) Credential from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants in 2017, the Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2016, and the Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt certificate in 2014.
