Sam Knowles

Samuel Knowles is an accomplished ecologist with significant experience in the field, currently serving as an Ecologist at Environment Bank since May 2023. Previously, Samuel worked with Mott MacDonald from June 2021 to May 2023, also as an Ecologist. Prior roles include serving as a Protected Species Officer for Buckinghamshire Council and Aylesbury Vale District Council from September 2018 to June 2021. Additional experience includes freelance blogging for Conservation Careers, working as an Ecological Consultant at ADAS, and starting a career as an Assistant Ecologist at EAD Ecology, as well as a Graduate Ecologist position at Thomson Ecology Ltd. Samuel holds a Master’s Degree in Ecology and Environmental Management from the University of York and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Swansea University.
