Alex Walker is currently the Climate Finance Program Manager at Environmental Defence, where they focus on fostering public support for financial regulation to promote a more equitable and sustainable economy. They previously served as a Political Researcher with Shake Up the Establishment, concentrating on youth climate action, and were a Collective Impact Project Assistant with the Toronto Climate Action Network. Alex holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies from York University and a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from The University of Manchester. Additionally, they have experience mentoring with Debate Mate and supervising a fundraising campaign at The University of Manchester. Passionate about queer and trans inclusion, Alex advocates for these values within climate justice and related spaces.
