Environmental Pollution Group was formed in 1989 specifically to write vessel pollution on behalf of Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's of London. As a Lloyd’s Coverholder, EPG has binding authority of up to $10,000,000 on primary vessel pollution liability coverage and can also place $295,000,000 of excess coverage over any marine liability policies, excess of a $5,000,000 underlying limit. This allows EPG to issue COFR insurance guaranties on vessels requiring up to $300,000,000 of total coverage. Excess coverage is also available on a bumbershoot basis excess of $1,000,000 in underlying limits where COFRs are not required. 

EPG more recently has expanded its offerings to include pollution liabilities on land! We now have markets for pollution liability coverage on Storage Tanks, both above and underground, as well as Contractors Pollution Liability, and Site Pollution Liability. Unlike any of our marine competitors, EPG is able to bridge the gap between land and sea handling placement of not only vessel pollution liability coverage but the pollution liabilities created by shore side facilities maintaining and servicing that fleet.
