Ruby Telfer has had a diverse range of work experience. In 2018, they began working as a Camp Counselor at the YMCA of the East Bay, where they guided and organized activities for a group of girls each week. In the same year, they also joined Engineers Without Borders UC Davis as a Member, contributing to project proposals and fundraising events for the Bolivia project. In 2019, Ruby took on the role of Fundraising Lead, coordinating a successful silent auction and wine tasting fundraiser. Later in 2020, they became the Bolivia Project Lead, managing a team and preparing project documents for a sanitation project in Bolivia. Ruby also worked as a Hydrology & Hydraulics intern at MBK Engineers in 2021, where they assisted with modeling and prepared plan drawings. In 2023, they joined Environmental Science Associates as an Engineer I.
Ruby Telfer earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis, between 2018 and 2022. Ruby then pursued a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2022 to 2023.
