Scientist II at EnviroScience

Amy Wakefield, Scientist II, has a diverse background and varied skill set that brings value to the Compliance Services Team, where she is a licensed asbestos inspector in the state of Ohio and West Virginia, licensed commercial applicator in Ohio, and certified CESSWI inspector for Ohio. She also has her HAZWOPER 40hr and FRA/e-RAILSAFE certifications.

A key member of the EnviroScience team since 2018, Amy has made strides in expanding her knowledge of the environmental field. She emulates EnviroScience’s wide array of capabilities by assisting in SWPP and SPCC Plans, ODOTs Regulated Material Review Process, SWPPP inspections, asbestos inspections, water and sediment sampling, infield chemistry readings with various instruments, and emergency responses.

Most recently, she has taken the lead in installing and maintaining sonication units that are designed to kill algae with sound waves instead of chemicals in lakes and various municipal and industrial stormwater ponds. She is also the lead report writer for Phase I ESAs and abbreviated desktop reports, completing over 60 reports last year alone without ever missing a deadline. She has traveled all over the United States and into Canada for Phase One ESA site visits and train derailments.
