Enviroscope helps clients make informed decisions where trees, places and people intersect.

Established in 2008 and based in York, Enviroscope Consulting Ltd is an independent tree and woodland consultancy providing specialist advice across Yorkshire and throughout the UK.

Trees are rarely isolated features. They are part of wider landscapes, ecological systems, historic settings and development proposals. We help clients understand these relationships and make practical decisions based on sound professional judgement.

Our work focuses on the management of important trees and landscapes, including veteran trees, historic parklands, gardens, woodlands and rural estates. We prepare tree inventories, management plans and woodland strategies, supported by GPS surveying and GIS mapping. We also provide tree and woodland ecology advice, bringing together arboriculture, forestry and ecological expertise.

We advise on trees within development and construction projects, helping designers, developers and landowners understand constraints, opportunities and practical solutions from planning through to completion. We provide BS5837 surveys, Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Arboricultural Method Statements and Arboricultural Clerk of Works support.

Where tree safety is the key consideration, we provide proportionate risk advice, including QTRA risk assessment and PiCUS sonic tomography investigations.

Our consultancy is underpinned by professional accreditation and continued development, with Chartered Foresters and Chartered Environmentalists maintaining professional standards through ongoing CPD.

We believe the best tree advice comes from combining specialist knowledge of trees with an understanding of the wider context — the landscapes they form part of, the ecology they support and the human decisions that shape their future.

Examples of our work can be found on our website.
