André Otto

André Otto has over 15 years of work experience, primarily in the field of information technology. André is currently employed as the Head of IT at EnviroServ Waste Management (Pty) Ltd, a position they have held since March 2021. Prior to this role, André served as the Group Technology Manager at the same company from April 2016 to March 2021. In this role, they were responsible for managing the company's hardware, IT assets, and helpdesk environment, ensuring reliable and secure IT services. Before that, André worked as an Assistant IS Manager - Technical from August 2012 to April 2016, where they handled IS administration, hardware and software support, and implemented technological solutions. From October 2007 to August 2012, they served as a Senior Network & Support Administrator, providing third-line technical support for internal employees and support staff. André's career began in July 2006 as an IT Systems Administrator at EnviroServ, where they installed and maintained computer hardware, software, and networks. André also worked briefly as an IT Helpdesk Administrator, providing first-line technical support. André's work experience prior to EnviroServ includes a role as an Import Procurement Clerk at Henred Fruehauf Trailers (PTY) Ltd. from January 2005 to April 2006.

André Otto has a diverse education history. In 1998, they graduated from Elsburg High School with a Matric Senior Certificate. From there, they pursued various certifications and training programs in areas such as system administration, network engineering, and IT security. Notable institutions they attended include Torque IT, Maurice Kerrigan, and The Thinking Cap. In 2014, they completed a Project Management Leadership program at The Thinking Cap. Most recently, in 2018, they obtained COBIT 5 certifications in both Foundation and Implementation from Torque IT, specializing in the governance of enterprise IT.
