Significant global interest is emerging for nature-based solutions that combine multiple outcomes, including climate resilience, biodiversity, and water quality improvements, that can also generate positive economic and financial returns on investment. Globally there are few entities that are moving beyond rhetoric to action, through connecting the world of sustainable finance and project development in a way that aligns the needs and expectations of the investment community with environmentally impactful projects.  

Our reputation as an innovator in creating and adapting solutions to complex, long-standing natural resource challenges has seen EnviroStrat provide advisory services to government agencies, non-profit organisations, indigenous communities, and multilateral banks in New Zealand and around the world. We have led several 'first in New Zealand' projects, including: pioneering regenerative ocean farming; piloting a natural capital ‘chart of accounts’ for fresh water management in Hawkes Bay; landscape scale impact investment analysis; seafood sector impact investment feasibility analysis; a restoration plan for New Zealand’s largest catchment; a region-wide green growth strategy; and research into regenerative economies.

Increasingly we have been involved in international projects, including in India, USA, Vietnam, and PNG.

Recognising the opportunities associated with aquaculture in NZ, EnviroStrat acquired a 50% share of Aquaculture Direct in 2019.
