John Ferrill has extensive work experience in the environmental industry. John started their career in 1994 as a Project Manager at SRTI, Soil Recycling Technologies. John then worked as a Staff Geologist at Delta Environmental in 1995. From 1995 to 1996, they worked as a Project Manager at ViroGroup. In 1996, they joined EnviroTrac Ltd. as a Senior Project Manager and eventually became the Vice President in 2000.

John Ferrill earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from Colorado College, where they studied from 1980 to 1984. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines from 1991 to 1993.
