James Smith

James (“J.”) Smith, MD FACEP, is the Emergency Department Medical Director at Northside Gwinnett & Envision Physician Services, a position held since 2018. Previously, J. served as the Vice Chief of Emergency Medicine at Gwinnett Medical Center from 2011 to 2018. J. completed a Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in 2004, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on Genetics from Georgia Institute of Technology. J. also studied Biomechanics at the University of Oxford in 1996 and completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Harvard Medical School between 2004 and 2007.
