Scott Crane

Scott Crane is a Senior Scientist at Envisioneering Inc, where they focus on research for the Office of Naval Research. Previously, they served as a Research Physicist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from 2012 to 2021, concentrating on next-generation portable and space-based atomic clocks. They also worked as a Research Physicist at the United States Naval Observatory from 2001 to 2012, where they developed transportable cold-atom Rb atomic fountain clocks. Additionally, Scott was a Guest Scientist at SYRTE - Paris Observatory in 2007 and held a Graduate Researcher position at Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1996 to 2001. They earned a Ph.D. in Atomic and Nuclear Physics from Utah State University in 2001.
