James Wheeler

James Wheeler is a Principal Consultant in the Mechanical / Electrical division at Envista Forensics, specializing in electrical engineering and fire investigations. They are a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada and the United States and hold their native Costa Rica's equivalent, along with being an internationally Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI). With 35 years of experience in the private sector, James has focused since 2005 on forensic root cause investigations, involving over 1,000 cases related to fire, property, and vehicle losses. They earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad de Costa Rica and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Humber College. James is a member of the National Association of Fire Investigators and recognized as an expert in electrical installations by the Standards Council of Canada.
