Jing Cheng

Jing Cheng is a seasoned professional in the field of polymer chemistry and biomedical materials, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Envista Holdings Corporation since July 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist at Alcon from May 2019 to July 2021, and as an Associate Specialist at the University of California, Berkeley from September 2014 to May 2019, where Jing Cheng focused on the development of polymeric biomaterials such as drug delivery nanoparticles, hydrogels, and bioadhesives. Prior to these positions, Jing Cheng contributed to research on degradable polymers at Northwestern University as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and supported graduate students at Peking University, where Jing Cheng also held teaching assistant roles in organic chemistry and polymer chemistry. Jing Cheng holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry and Biomedical Materials as well as a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Ancient Chinese Historiography, all from Peking University.
