Stephen Smirl is an experienced leader in business intelligence, data analytics, and continuous improvement methodologies, currently serving as the Envista Business Systems Leader for Technology at Envista Holdings Corporation since January 2019. In this role, Stephen has implemented lean continuous improvement frameworks and led a global team of 18 professionals in AI, data, and analytics, creating a corporate-wide Analytics Center of Excellence to enhance advanced analytics adoption for over 4,000 stakeholders. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Business Intelligence, Data, and Analytics at Danaher Corporation, where Stephen established the data and analytics function for the dental platform and founded the Danaher Analytics Center of Excellence. As the creator and CEO of Island Tales, Stephen managed a successful comic book series focused on Hawaiian and Polynesian folklore, engaging a community of 20,000 fans. Stephen holds a Master of Science in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University, an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Planning, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
