Chris Brown

Chris Brown is an experienced communications and community engagement professional with a strong background spanning the private sector, non-profit organizations, professional sports, and collegiate athletics. They served as the Senior Director of Communications at the North Carolina Forestry Association from 2000 to 2018 and held various roles in public relations, including Director of Public Relations for the NHL Carolina Hurricanes. Chris earned a Master’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Trinity College-Hartford, where they also worked as a Sports Information Director. Currently, they serve as a Senior Manager of Community Relations at Enviva and an Account Executive at Forestry Mutual Insurance Company / United Risk Advisors.
