Esmé Bosma

Esmé Bosma is a senior inspecteur at the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, currently serving as the coordinator of the sectorteam Financiële Dienstverlening within Systeemtoezicht Markt & Bedrijfsleven. Esmé earned a Doctorate in Political Science from the Universiteit van Amsterdam, where their research focused on the role of banks in combating terrorism financing, analyzing technological impacts and public-private partnerships through qualitative fieldwork in the Netherlands and the UK. Previously, Esmé worked as a Senior Consultant and Manager in Financial Crime Advisory at Deloitte Netherlands, coordinating efforts to combat financial and environmental crime. Esmé has also been a visiting researcher at the University of Ottawa and is the author of notable publications in the field.
