Gerard Bukkems

Gerard Bukkems has built a robust career in public administration, currently serving as Programmadirecteur at the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch DPA) since 2024. Prior to this role, they held various significant positions, including Directeur toezicht middelbaar beroepsonderwijs at the Inspectie van het Onderwijs from 2007 to 2017, and Directeur Klantcontact en Controlerend Onderzoek at the Dutch DPA from 2018 to 2024. Gerard also contributed to the Algemene Rekenkamer as Hoofd bureau Europees en Rijksbreed Doelmatigheidsonderzoek from 1990 to 2007 and served on the Rekenkamer Utrecht and Rekenkamercommissie Woerden from 2004 to 2018. They are currently pursuing a doctoraal degree at Radboud University.
