Jikke Bijen is an experienced legal professional with a diverse background in law and privacy research. Jikke's career began at Loyens&Loeff N.V. as an advocaat in the banking and securities law section, primarily advising international companies on Dutch financial legislation and preparing legal opinions. Following this role, Jikke served as Assistent Account Manager Bijzonder Beheer at Rabobank Ridderkerk Midden-IJsselmonde for two years. From November 2010 to November 2015, Jikke worked as a curator en advocaat at Van Gastel en Bal Advocaten. Since October 2018, Jikke has held the position of senior privacy onderzoeker at the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch DPA). Jikke holds a Master of Laws degree in Civil Law and Business Law from Radboud University and has specialized in insolvency law through the Grotius Academie.
