Jeff May

Jeff May is an accomplished geologist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Since June 2018, Jeff May has served as Affiliate Faculty in the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. Prior to this role, Jeff May held various positions at EOG Resources from July 2001, including Chief Geologist and Chief Stratigrapher, with a career that also includes significant roles at DDD Energy, Inc. as Senior Geoscientist, and as Geologic Consultant at both GeoQuest Reservoir Technologies and Enron. Jeff May began a foundational career at Marathon Oil Company as a Research Geologist from 1981 to 1994. Educationally, Jeff May holds a PhD in Geology from Rice University, a M.S. in Geology from Duke University, and a B.A. in Geology from Earlham College.
